Critical Power, Inc in Mt. Airy MD a Back -Up Power company specializing in Generators and Battery back-up power technologies has collected 1300 pounds of batteries from the Mt. Airy and surrounding communities. Collected battery technologies range from Alkaline, Lead acid, Nimi, Lithium Ion and many more. All these batteries collected were destined for the landfill. Critical Power collects free of charge for their community to give back and to educate the community about proper battery recycling.
